Como by Design offers the opportunity to view historic Como House 'reimagined' by twenty-three eminent Melbourne Interior Designers within the magnificent setting of Como House. The three day event will see designers each decorate a space of the house.
BUILT IN 1847, COMO HOUSE IS AN INTRIGUING MIX OF AUSTRALIAN REGENCY AND CLASSIC ITALIANATE ARCHITECTURE.
Como offers a glimpse into the lifestyle of former owners, the Armytage family, who lived there for nearly a century. The Armytages became famous amongst Melbourne society and equally famous for their many elegant dances, dinners and receptions. Those elegant dining and reception rooms are still furnished with Armytage family heirlooms and even the servant’s areas, kitchen and laundry have been preserved.
Como By Design is open to the public on Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st October.
Tickets can be purchased online though National Trust. Alternatively you may purchase tickets during the event at the Como Shop (located on the grounds near Como House Café). Como House is located at Corner Williams Rd & Lechlade Ave, South Yarra, Victoria.
